Transitions and changes during the adult life

We aim to contribute to society’s understanding of transitions and changes during the adult life, especially after the age of 50+.

Modern life encompasses many years, and as life expectancy increases, most of us will experience changes in body and mind that will be challenging. To maintain quality of life, new knowledge and approaches are required. This means that our lives at work, in the family, among friends and in society will look different and require entirely new approaches and methods.

Therefore, VELUX FONDEN aims to strengthen society’s understanding of transitions and changes of adult life, mainly for people aged 50+.

This grant area continues to provide activity funding for people aged 60+, to support their role as local community resources.

In addition, we support the development of new methods 60+ projects that can help strengthen active volunteers 60+, so that in the future they independently become the driving forces behind activities around the continued development of a democratic and sustainable society.
