The VELUX FOUNDATION's assets amount to approximately DKK 4 billion, of which the restricted assets amount to approximately DKK 2.9 billion. It is the return on the restricted assets and other income that can be distributed for charitable purposes.
Since its establishment in 1981, the foundation has continuously received both capital and distribution funds from the Villum Foundation. The income of the VELUX FOUNDATION consists of an annual transfer from the Villum Foundation and the returns from the other securities held by the foundations.
