  • Social initiatives
  • An Ocean in balance
  • Humanities and social science research and culture

Each area has several programmes that can be applied for.

Many of the programmes encourage collaboration, not only across research and practice but also across the four areas of allocation.

Evaluation processes

The foundation’s work and evaluation processes are designed to ensure a thorough assessment of all applications and inquiries.

The senior advisers maintain ongoing contact with various applicant environments such as universities, NGOs, associations, municipalities, regions, cultural institutions and social organisations.

To assist the boards in their work, the foundation obtains external assessments. All major applications are presented to the board. In total, the application process typically takes 4-9 months, depending on the grant area you are applying for.

All applicants receive a reply.

Exception:  Applications under DKK 250,000 received in the ’Transitions and changes in adult life’ area undergo a special process.
