Carbon dioxide (CO2) storage at sea has been addressed as a possible solution that can contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. There is a need to identify potential environmental risks associated with the use of CO2 storage in the ocean. The foundation may support new research initiatives that shed light on the environmental consequences of CO2 storage.
