The intuitive encounter. Existence and ethics in Bindeleddet's expanding work with young people
Project description
The project examines the mentorship work of the Bindeleddet foundation to contribute with new knowledge about the existence and ethics of mentoring. The research question is: How can you be a good voluntary mentor for a young person in a vulnerable position? The praxis part of the project will work to strengthen communities and mentorships in Bindeleddet, which create major positive changes in the lives of young people. The research part of the project will investigate philosophical, sociological, and ethical foundations of the existential and social mentoring relationship. The practical output is a handbook for use in the mentor work. The research results are communicated through scientific articles and a book on existence and ethics in voluntary mentoring, which will be used at vocational colleges, universities, in municipalities and in other voluntary organizations that work with mentors.
