Women in Healthy Transition - from peri- to postmenopause
Project description
The research project explores the interdisciplinary complexity of menopause and its impact on women through three work packages. Work package #1 focuses on self-understanding and agency, as well as how physical activity can affect these aspects in early postmenopause using focus groups, interviews, and surveys. Work package #2 analyzes physical function and health in relation to activity levels after menopause using advanced physiological methods. Work package #3 sheds light on how menopause affects women's work lives through interviews and focus groups. The project is part of a longitudinal design that follows the same women over time, with the overarching goal of generating new knowledge and developing guidelines to strengthen individual and organizational agency in dealing with challenges associated with menopause.
