The foundation aims to support an applicant's long-held desire to initiate a writing career. As a general rule, the foundation supports only 3-5 publications for an author. Therefore, the foundation assumes that a writing career should be able to sustain itself commercially after a period.

An application for publication support must be argued in relation to one or more of a series of criteria defined by the foundation. In addition, the applicant and publisher must meet a number of formal requirements. You can download a guide in PDF format where criteria and requirements are described.

The main requirements are: 1) the author(s) must be at least 67 years old, 2) the manuscript must be finished but not yet printed. Applicants between 60 and 67 years old must explain any special circumstances that may warrant an exception from the age criterion. Applicants between 60 and 67 years old must also be out of employment.

The application must include a brief description of the publication's content. Additionally, there must be a statement from the publisher regarding the publication. If the publication is self-published, a statement from a relevant third party must be provided. The foundation has prepared a guide for authors, publishers, and third parties to describe/evaluate the content of the publication. This guide can also be downloaded in PDF format.

Furthermore, the CV for the author(s) must be uploaded.
