The game is democracy

The Game is Democracy, is a 12-month pilot project on Bornholm, bringing together citizens, utility companies, cultural actors and researchers to develop new approaches to democratic participation and sustainable transition. Addressing local challenges in energy and waste management, the project aims to strengthen civic engagement, community capacity and local influence on development. Through performing arts, game-based approaches and co-creative processes, the project tests new forms of dialogue, decision-making and collaboration between citizens and institutions. The partnership includes BEOF, BOFA, Bornholm Theatre, CRT and local community associations. Activities include citizen involvement, the development of shared visions and the implementation of practical solutions for local energy and supply systems. CRT will evaluate the project’s processes and outcomes to develop methods that can inspire other communities and support democratic green transition nationwide.
