Project description
The Circular Community addresses the problem of increasing waste volumes by shifting the focus from waste management to prevention, reuse and value preservation. The aim is to create a local transition from a linear to a circular economy. Circular economy is made accessible to citizens in Odder municipality, while also creating opportunities for circular employment and new local business models. A central physical meeting place in Odder will be established, where citizens, civil society, businesses, educational institutions and the municipality can meet, develop ideas and test circular solutions. The centre will function as a laboratory and platform for citizen engagement, with the ambition of making Odder a leading circular city. The project seeks to create social change: citizens move from being passive consumers to active co-creators. The project is a collaboration between DOMI Bolig, renosyd and Odder municipality, with the involvement of a broad range of stakeholders.
