Covid-19 is affecting our entire civil society these days - and it will continue to do so in the foreseeable future.

It is only natural that a certain insecurity will arise with our grantees concerning the projects we support or the viability of potential projects - e.g. due to delay of project deadlines or analysis and initiatives that must be postponed or redefined.

The foundations of Europe unite

03.04.2020:  The two European platforms for philanthropy, EFC (European Foundation Centre) and DAFNE (Donors and Foundations Networks in Europe), have published a pledge, signed by more than 100 European foundations, including THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS.

By signing the pledge we commit to the following towards our grantees: We enter a dialogue on how to adapt activities and deadlines to the current situation, we show financial flexibility - and at an overall level, we listen and show that we care.
