After-school science activities

Children, Youth and Science in Denmark

We support fun, educational and inspiring after-school activities that bring science and technology into the lives of children and young people, making science a natural and relevant part of their everyday experience.

Science is everywhere around us – in balls being kicked, water boiling, leaves flying, mobile phones, soft drink burps, campfire marshmallows, spider webs, and artificial intelligence.

We support projects that bring children and young people close to science in their everyday lives, making them curious and promoting a positive attitude towards science and technology.

In their leisure time, children and young people should meet other children and youth in engaging communities and adult facilitators who, with joy, passion and enthusiasm, join them in being curious and explorative.

Good ideas are always welcome.

If you have an idea for a project that falls within the focus of the grant area on after-school science activities, feel free to send us a brief description (max one A4 page) including a working title, timeline, target audience, project idea, specific activities and an estimate of the budget and requested amount.
