GRO - Inspiring science and technology courses

With the GRO fund, we invite teachers to apply for funds to enhance existing or develop new teaching modules in science and technology.

Villum Foundation aims to support teachers' own ideas on how to further improve their teaching. With the GRO fund, we are opening up applications from teachers for resources to make science education more inspiring and motivating.

Ideas that can GROW

The GRO fund features a straightforward application process, and the requirements for documentation are minimal. In the GRO fund, you can apply for amounts between 25,000 and 100,000 DKK. In 2023, 2 million DKK will be distributed. We expect to be able to distribute 5 million DKK in both 2024 and 2025.

With the GRO fund, we want to support you in giving your teaching modules that extra boost that may not always be possible in a busy day-to-day schedule. This could be the opportunity to invite prominent science figures as guest teachers. It might be an inspirational trip for the teaching team to a place in Denmark that could spark new ideas for a planned teaching module. It could be collaboration with other schools on special modules in the local area. Or it might be materials for building and setting up a chicken coop as part of a teaching module.

The GRO fund is aimed at those who wish to quickly get started with bringing their ideas to life. Therefore, applications can be submitted on a rolling basis.
