Our logo

Please note that the logo should be placed on a white background, and there should be enough room for the logo to maintain its airy appearance and legibility, regardless of its size.

If the logo must be placed on a dark background, or if the logo appears unclear in any other way, it should be placed in a white square.

Always blue

Our complete logo is always blue, and the symbol must always be included. The symbol is made up of a slanted grey pane being pierced by three straight lines symbolising light passing unhindered through a roof.

The logo symbolises daylight piercing a sloping glass sheet. The founder of THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS and the VKR Group, Villum Kann Rasmussen, had this symbol designed in 1941 for DKK 25, and it was incorporated in his very first corporate logo. Today, the logo is part of THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS' visual identity and marks the common roots of the foundations and the VKR Group.

We prefer that the names of the two foundations be written in capital letters.

VILLUM FONDEN

VILLUM FONDEN (a part of THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS) is a philanthropic foundation that supports technical and scientific research as well as environmental, social and cultural projects in Denmark and internationally. In 2022, VILLUM FONDEN granted approx. EUR 140 million.

VILLUM FONDEN was established in 1971 by graduate engineer Villum Kann Rasmussen - the founder of VELUX and other companies in the VKR Group, whose mission it is to bring daylight, fresh air and a better environment into people’s everyday lives. VILLUM FONDEN is a majority shareholder in the VKR Group.

VELUX FONDEN

VELUX FONDEN (a part of THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS) is a philanthropic foundation that supports active senior citizens, gerontology and ophthalmology as well as scientific, cultural, social and environmental purposes. The purpose is to promote the democratic society of Denmark on an informed, inclusive and sustainable basis. In 2022, VELUX FONDEN granted approx. EUR 42 million.

VELUX FONDEN was established in 1981 by graduate engineer Villum Kann Rasmussen - the founder of VELUX and other companies in the VKR Group, whose mission it is to bring daylight, fresh air and a better environment into people’s everyday lives.
 

THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS

THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS are comprised of the two philanthropic foundations VILLUM FONDEN and VELUX FONDEN. Among our grant areas are science, environmental, social and cultural purposes in Denmark and internationally. In 2022, the two foundations gave joint grants of approx. EUR 181 million.
